Born in Lahore, during the pre-independent united India, Brij Bhooshan Chandhoke took up LIC Agency, having been inspired by the claim settlement after the untimely demise of his father in 1969.

He has taken a brief halt in all the stations of the Club Membership right from B.M, D.M, Z.M before reaching the coveted Chairman?s Club in the year1985-86. He is qualifying for MDRT since 1997 and has also participated in the Chicago Convention of Million Dollar Round Table.

He was inspired to join LIAFI by leaders like Dada Ajoy Purkayastha and Madam Annapurna Rao who are known for their sacrifices. Within a short while after joining LIAFI, he took active role and led the Thane Divisional Council of LIAFI. Year 1995-96 saw him as the Zonal Secretary of the Western Zonal Council and in May 2002 and continued till January 2006. Presently he continues to be the Ex-Officio member of the Governing Board of LIAFI being the immediate past Secretary General.
